Enjoy Taikothon 2023, an annual Taiko Community Alliance (TCA) event that features taiko performances and messages from the community. This year's celebration is especially significant as TCA commemorates a decade of empowering people and advancing the art of taiko.

Here’s the Taikothon 2023-10-29 schedule and lineup of presenters:
3:00pm ET: Taikothon begins with birthday wishes from TCA Staff and the community!
3:30-4:30pm ET: Mujo Flight Dream, Hinode Taiko, SkyFire Taiko, PJ & Roy Hirabayashi
4:30-5:15pm ET: UCLA Yukai Daiko, St. Olaf Taiko, Wellesley, Kazan Taiko, Gendo Taiko
5:15-5:45pm ET: Shango Mountain Taiko, PROTA, Actually Autistic Artists
5:45-6:45pm ET: Hoh Daiko, Uzume Daiko, Harisen Daiko, Niveda Tennety, GREAT LAKES TAIKO CENTER, Puna Taiko

#MIBON2023 was a community collaboration with the Cranbrook Center for Collections & Research as the Great Lakes Taiko Center held our 3rd annual MI Bon Summer Festival in August at the Cranbrook Japanese Garden in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Looking back at this special event reminds us of how important the art and culture of Taiko is to our communities as a way of being that enables us to connect, celebrate and create the world we want to live in together!
