THU 11/6: MI Shishimai Kai Group Sessions
2-4pm & 8-10pm at GLTC Taiko Space (B4): Michigan Shishimai Kai members will train with sensei Eien Hunter-Ishikawa in preparation for 11/8 & 11/9 performances of shishimai.
Open to all GLTC members for observation only
(you may drop in any time, and please be mindful of group in session)
FRI 11/7 (7pm): Ninba Music Workshop (RSVP)
7-9pm at GLTC Taiko Space (B4): Learn about and practice Ninba music which accompanies the Ryomen Odori (double-mask dance). It has an upbeat feel and features taiko, shinobue, and atarigane.

SAT 11/8 (1:30pm): Shishimai Demo & Ryomen Odori in Novi-Wixom
1:30-3pm at Studio N (B2): Special performance and presentation of Shishimai (Japanese Lion Dance) and Ryomen Odori (Double-Mask Dance) by guest artist Eien Hunter-Ishikawa with MI Shishimai Kai ensemble.
