A2 Taiko Play

Class Dates:  Sundays (except ‘break’ Weeks of “Ma”)
7/14, 7/21, 7/28 (no class on 8/4) at RSHS in Ann Arbor
*Taiko Performance in Ann Arbor #MIBON2024 Preview on SUN 8/4 (3-5pm) at RSHS (arrive 2pm)
8/11*, 8/18, 8/25 (no class 9/1) at RSHS in Ann Arbor
*Taiko Performance in MI Bon 2024 Festival on SUN 8/11 (1-5:30pm) at Cranbrook

Teachers: Larry An & Eileen S. Ho (Raion Taiko members, GLTC co-directors, and life partners)

Class Description: Practice FUNdamental rhythms and learn to PLAY songs from our GLTC Collective repertoire as we embody the energy and spirit of Taiko together. This Spring/Summer we will study the song DREAM by Yamada Mizue from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.

*Students will have the opportunity to perform class pieces at the MI Bon Festival event on SUN 8/11 (see #MIBON2024 event).
